Malaysian driftwood is one of the most common types of wood added to aquariums. This versatile material creates a stunning natural environment that is great for both fish and plants. It has so many uses and can be easily wrapped with moss, planted with a java fern or even better an anubias.
Driftwood can leech tannins. This may cause a slight yellow or brown tint to your water. This is natural and the effects will reduce over time. Boiling the wood prior to use can decrease the tannins leeching.
