This Yamaha speaker set consists of two MSR400 top cabinets and one MSR800 subwoofer, and is well suited for amplifying entertainers, keyboard players, singer-songwriters and small bands. This set is also great for many educational applications, for example at lectures and assemblies. The MSR400
The MSR400 by Yamaha features a speaker cabinet with a modern design, made of black synthetic material that makes it robust, light and rigid - which is great for the sound. Together with the two built-in amplifiers with a collective power of 400 watts, this speaker delivers a balanced sound with defined mids and trebles and a tight bass. On the back of the cabinet you'll find two XLR connections and a 6.35mm jack for connecting various power sources, from a mixing panel to an electric guitar or microphone. The 2-way tone control allows you to adjust the sound to fit your taste and the situation. Furthermore, the MSR400 is also great to use as a stage monitor, and because it's slanted, it's at just the right angle for you to hear yourself well.
De MSR800 subwoofer
The versatile MSR400 tops are joined by a Yamaha MSR800 subwoofer in this set. This 800W subwoofer ensures that the balanced sound from the tops gets a nice extra dimension of lows. The subwoofer is equipped with a 15-inch woofer that's mounted in a bass reflex cabinet, which delivers a frequency range of 40 to 120 Hz. Using this subwoofer to fill in the MSR400 system makes it possible to amplify larger rooms with great sound, such as a relatively large pub for your performances or even a school auditorium. With the MSR800, Yamaha gives you a great bass sound that's easy to hear and feel!
